After a gynecological examination, please refrain from sexual intercourse, using vaginal creams, or douching for 24 hours. Avoid vaginal douching on the same day.

For women aged 65 or older, due to significant atrophy in the uterus and ovaries, the examination may be somewhat limited.

If you have had a hysterectomy, the position of the ovaries may be difficult to identify, limiting the examination.

For those with no sexual experience, there may be restrictions on the examination.

If any of the above apply to you, please consult with an obstetrician/gynecologist to check for any abnormalities in the uterus or ovaries via a transvaginal ultrasound.

1. If you are breastfeeding

Breast exams are possible 6 months after you stop breastfeeding. (The possibility of a breast ultrasound depends on the individual condition of the breast.)

Please wait one week after any sedation endoscopy before resuming breastfeeding.

2. If you are on your period

Urine tests, gynecological exams, and various blood test results may be affected.

It is best to undergo your examination one week after your period ends.

3. If you are pregnant

Radiation is extremely dangerous for the fetus. Please be sure to check your menstrual cycle and confirm if you are pregnant.

If you suspect pregnancy, you cannot undergo radiographic exams, certain ultrasound exams, cervical cancer tests, or endoscopic procedures.

If you do not inform the staff about a potential pregnancy and undergo a test that results in problems, the center will not be held responsible.

During pregnancy, changes in the breast’s tissue may make breast ultrasound exams difficult or impossible.

4. If you have a history of surgery

If you have had surgery within the last year (including childbirth), or if you have symptoms, some exams may not be possible on the day of the check-up.

Please consult before making an appointment.

If you have a history of cesarean section, there may be limitations on lower abdominal ultrasound exams.

(Pressure on the lower abdomen may not be possible during the exam.)

If you have undergone breast augmentation surgery, mammograms are possible one year after the surgery.

Please consult with the hospital where the surgery was performed before your check-up.
